Call for Applications: “Leaders for Change: Promoting Democracy and Human Rights at Local Level” International Workshop

The Council of Europe has launched a call for participants for the third edition of the international workshop “Leaders for Change: Promoting Democracy and Human Rights at Local Level”, which will take place on 7–9 July 2026 in Strasbourg, France, under the auspices of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.

The workshop will serve as a dynamic platform for exchange between Belarusian democratic forces, civil society representatives, members of the Congress, and experts in relevant fields.

Its objective is to promote democratic values in line with the principles of the European Charter of Local Self-Government.

If you are interested in local self-government, local democracy, civic participation, and community development, this is an excellent opportunity to gain new knowledge, learn from European experience, and establish professional contacts with local government representatives and experts from across Europe.

Participation is especially encouraged for those who are interested in these topics and would like to develop in this field, even if they are not yet specialists in local self-government.

✅ Interpretation will be provided in Belarusian and English
