Study visit of participants of the “Personel Reserve” to Brussels within the framework of “Belarus Week”

13 December, 2024

This visit had a different format compared to previous trips organised by the “Personnel Reserve”.

It was not only an introduction to the work of supranational institutions at the international level, but also an opportunity to understand the emerging agenda regarding Belarus within the European Parliament and the representations of the European Commission. Together with the messages addressed to a united Europe by Belarusian democratic forces, this allowed participants of the “Personnel Reserve” to gain a deeper understanding of current issues and processes, as noted by the coordinator of the campaign, Yury Hubarevich.

Participants met with the representative of the Government of Flanders, Sam Vandenbabi, and discussed cooperation and professional exchange programmes for 2025. They also visited the migration office at the European Parliament and attended conferences titled “Restoring Democratic Institutions of Belarus – Paths of Future Reforms” and “Standing with the People of Belarus: High-Level Conference”.

The events of “Belarus Week” demonstrated solidarity and the EU’s consistent commitment to the Belarusian people. The “Personnel Reserve” campaign was pleased to take part in the programme together with its participants.
