Study visit of the Cadre Reserve participants to Lithuania
Participants of the “Cadre Reserve” received a unique opportunity to meet outstanding political and economic figures of Lithuania and to discuss current issues of governance, economic policy, and digitalisation.
Among the meetings were:
▪️ A conversation with Danas Arlauskas, head of the Lithuanian Employers’ Confederation.
▪️ A discussion with Vaidas Augūnas, member of the Vilnius Regional Council, on issues of local self-government in the capital region: from formation and structure to finance and digitalisation.
▪️ A visit to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and a conversation with Žygimantas Pavilionis, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
▪️ Meetings at the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania, where issues of economic policy-making and the digitalisation of public administration were discussed.
▪️ A conversation with Lina Racička, coordinator of the KURK LIETUVAI project, aimed at implementing initiatives capable of bringing significant change to the country.
These meetings gave participants a deeper understanding of how state and local government institutions function in Lithuania, as well as ideas for reforms in Belarus.
