Educational visit to Szczecin
An educational visit to the city of Szczecin was organized by the “Personnel Reserve” campaign.
From November 26 to 29, participants of the visit familiarized themselves with how local self-government functions at the voivodeship, city (Szczecin), and commune (Płoty) levels.
During the visit, they attended the Szczecin City Hall, the municipal office of the commune of Płoty, and the Marshal’s Office of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, where they learned about:
🔺 Urban investment and development strategy
Special attention was paid to Szczecin’s development strategy. Participants learned how urban investments contribute to sustainable development, economic growth, and improved quality of life for residents.
🔺 Non-governmental organizations
Meeting with local NGOs showed how actively they participate in the city’s life. These organizations play a key role in supporting social initiatives and providing assistance to those in need.
🔺 Social welfare organization
Participants explored methods of organizing social assistance in Szczecin, gaining an understanding of how social issues are effectively addressed and managed in society.
🔺 Support for entrepreneurs
The visit also included discussions on measures supporting entrepreneurs, an important factor in stimulating innovation and regional economic growth.
By the end of the year, the “Personnel Reserve” plans two more educational visits. This work will continue next year as well. If you would like to take part in educational visits or roundtable discussions, join the “Personnel Reserve” campaign (https://pr-belarus.org/be/apply-by) and wait for an invitation.
