Internship in the Municipality of Tirana

25 March, 2025

An open call has been announced for a 4–8 week internship in the Municipality of Tirana (Albania).

Why this experience is valuable

This is a unique opportunity for participants of the Personnel Reserve initiative. Unlike study visits to countries with classical European governance models, this internship offers insights that may be particularly relevant for Belarus. Albania is a country that has undergone complex reforms and rapid development, and its governance solutions may be useful and adaptable to our context.

In addition, the internship can serve as a strong foundation for academic work or research. For participants engaged in public administration, urban development, economics, or social policy, the experience can provide valuable empirical data, new ideas, and practical solutions that may be applied in professional or research activities.

Main departments involved in the internship:

• Directorate of Financial Management (budgeting, financial payments)
• Directorate of Civil Protection and Citizen Services (public participation, gender equality)
• Directorate of Territorial Planning and Development (local micro-planning, urban development)

Requirements for candidates:

✔ English level: B1–B2
✔ Willingness to work within a real municipal governance system and analyze processes
✔ After completion, participants must prepare an analytical report with conclusions on possible adaptation of the acquired knowledge for Belarus

📍 Organizational support is provided by the Personnel Reserve initiative, but travel expenses are covered by participants themselves.
